Bus Stop Sales Enhances Southern State Presence with New Hire
Bus Stop Sales is bolstering its extensive experience in the bus and coach industry with a strategic new sales appointment.
The Australian supplier, known for popular bus brands like King Long, has announced that esteemed industry veteran Don Imrie will be joining their team. Imrie’s role will focus on supporting the expansion of Bus Stop Sales’ national fleet programs in the southern states.
Imrie brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career in the Australian bus and coach sector. He began at Cardinia Transit before its acquisition by Ventura, and later worked with Iveco. He also owned Kingstons Tours until 2019. Most recently, Imrie served as Ebusco’s Australian sales director, a position he held until the company ceased its operations in Australia earlier this year.
“I saw a great opportunity to join Bus Stop and leverage my experience to enhance their successful operations, particularly in key account management,” Imrie shared with ABC. “Having known southern states general manager Guy Pex for a long time and being familiar with the quality of King Long products, I was eager to seize this opportunity.”
Imrie is enthusiastic about collaborating with the dynamic Bus Stop Sales team, which prioritizes customer satisfaction. With a broad range of offerings, from King Long’s zero-emissions buses to school bus options, Imrie is poised to deliver comprehensive diesel and electric vehicle solutions to operators.
“I’ve consistently heard positive feedback about King Long’s low-floor electric buses, which boast high-quality components as standard,” Imrie notes. “King Long provides a diverse range of vehicles, from mid-sized school buses to advanced low-floor electric models, presenting numerous opportunities.”
Imrie is eager to apply his industry expertise and connections to further develop the Bus Stop brand in Australasia. Bus Stop Sales Director Pete White has expressed his enthusiasm for Imrie’s addition to the team.
“Don’s ability to cultivate strong industry relationships and identify partnership opportunities makes him an ideal fit for our next growth phase as a national fleet supplier,” White stated to ABC.
